A trip to heaven?
Hemel-en-Aarde means Heaven and Earth in old Dutch and Afrikaans and after exploring it, you will propably agree with the name chosen.

The Hemel-en-Aarde wine area is widely acknowledged as the Pinot Noir capital of South Africa. It is also famous for its Chardonnay.

Even if you are not into wine, the area is still worth visiting because of its beautiful nature, with Hermanus, as the whale-watching destination, and walker bay as a great nature reserve.
